If you are an author, how do you get your books into a library, either UK, US, or Australia/New Zealand?

Thanks in advance.

If you are published you can always donate copies. We quite often receive copies of books in the post from new authors who would like us to have a copy of their book - it can sometimes gain them fans and increase sales.

First of all you have to get published, then your books are reviewed. The librarians should be keeping a wide stock of books to cover most needs, and I understand that they look at book reviews etc and see what would be likely to appeal to their local population. I imagine that each publisher sends lists of new publications to the library services on a regular basis.
