When did the practice of newbies name's being green for a couple of weeks cease? It seems there are regular influxes of new users who are grey .

cant remember when it stopped but it was there about 6 years ago then i think i came on about 3 years ago and it wasnt like it

You obviously have been here in a past life then zacs-master - as you only joined in December!

New users appeared in green until quite recently-around 2 years ago I think- but I understood one of the reasons it was stopped was that new users were sometimes regarded with suspicion and were not always made to feel welcome
