There is no respect in war, never has been, whether it's the Taliban beheading an enemy soldier, burning them alive, or an American peeing on dead al Qaeda, desecrating the bodies of those killed in battle is nothing new. Doesn't mean to say it's right
Agree em, it boils down to pure hatred - which unfortunately is part and parcel of conflict.
Boxy, I believe that terrorism in Britain will continue, in much the same way in other western countries, i don't have any answers as to solving it,
but being in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, isn't the answer, it's the stick they use to beat us with.
bit early for all this doom and gloom, sith i bid you good morning.

good morning to you em, nah, i read this article in a paper yestersday, so i though i would see peoples views on it.
last point, so did i, and i thought it was despicable, but i also think that somali pirates who capture innocent civilians and hold them to ransom for a long time despicable, they are not servicemen and women, just easy targets. I would shoot all pirates on sight, but i don't believe my views would hold much sway around the globe.
I think Boxtops view is the most reasoned I've read. Until you're on the front line, you cannot make a judgement on the actions of soldiers however wrong it appears sitting in your armchair watching it from thousands of miles away.
"The credit doesn't belong to the critic or those who point out how the strong man stumbles or how the doer of deeds could of done them better.
The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena."
Someone quite famous said that once..
Ive peed on better and thought nothing of it
makes them no better does it ?..shame and name them....
Agree with boxtops/Zacs-Master.

I would never condone this sort of behaviour but can understand why it happened. When you're coming under small arms fire on an almost daily basis and if you've seen your colleagues shot, maimed and killed at regular intervals then one or two soldiers in ANY unit will probably commit some form of dessecration on enemy combatants, regardless of how highly trained you are.

As I say, I don't condone it but understand why it may have happened.
So its ok to kill them but not to pee on them
....and the Taliban would've treated dead US soldiers with respect would they?

I'm sure they'd have done far worse than p1ss on them
Question Author
i will say this again just in case, i am not saying i support the taliban, i am just asking a question about what i saw in the papers.
sith, we know, and those responsible will be brought to justice, and likely be court martialled.
Question Author
i think they already have.
