If Vince Cable's call for a mansion tax is implemented who here in AB will be affected?
I think my modest property, The Old Rectory, will just slip under the radar.

If it will only depend upon property prices I'll have to ask the local authority not to put a "Buenchico lives here" plaque on my wall, as that would obviously increase my house's value dramatically, wouldn't it?

I think it's totally outrageous.

If a couple spend their life blowing their money on flash cars and holiday, and being wildly extragant, and waste all their cash, they are fine.

If, instead, they work hard all their lives to pay a hefty mortgage and, as a result, end up with a big house ...

...and house prices go up because of other people wanting to move into the area ...

And Cable comes along and shafts them.
