Fence down.
Every year since I have lived here (4yrs) part of my neighbours fence has blown down.
He repairs it but the posts are not deep enough in the ground so each year it gets blown down again.
Just before Christmas it went again. He has since rented the property out. He got someone to look at it and nothing has been done since.Given that it was over the Christmas period, he could have been away.
A couple of weeks ago we got another severe wind and it took all of the fence down but one pane.
The people who rent the house can't get hold of the landlord so he may still be away.
Apart from it looking a mess, I can't let the dog out without her being on a lead.
Is there anything I can do about it? I don't think the tennants are liable for it.

It seems that this fence is in a wind-exposed position (having fallen 4 yrs on the trot) . Conventional solid 6ft fence panels offer a huge target to the wind . Have you suggested trellis type fencing to your neighbour ? Backing this with hedging plants (conifers , pyrocantha ...) and keeping the hedge well trimmed to the height of the fence is a very effective and attractive barrier which will not blow down even in a very strong wind .
