Looks like i probably need a new boiler! We have heating but no hot water!! My fiance has replaced the diaphragm and "some" diverter valve!. He has ordered a water control thingmybob....if that doesnt work then we need a new boiler!! Any idea how much it costs for a new boiler & fitting!!! thankyou

i paid £1,800 for a direct combi replacement about 5 years ago.

So many other things it could be as well. Possibly the circuit board, or the hot water thermostat, or any of the sensors and probes that, for safety's sake, may be preventing the HW from working.
With the boiler still providing the heating ok, then I wouldn't give up quite yet.
Replacement will vary depending on boiler size, type of flue, size of gas supply pipe to the boiler.

Allow at least £2,500 for gas, and maybe up to £3,500 for oil.

Just guesstimates though ............... Ankou must have slept with the plumber for that price ;o)

we had a new Worcester Bosch boiler fitted in November last year we also had the radiators and system power flushed at the same time, it cost £1,800. However we do know the plumbers who carried out the work so may have got a discounted rate :)

Hi all regarding to your boiler. IF YOU ARE NOT GAS SAFE REGISTER YOU NOT ALLOWED TO REPAIR GAS APPLIANCE. Back to your boiler from information you write you have combi boiler,and only heating working your boiler working only hot water system not. You can contact with gas engineer to check this , in my opinion probably this is hot water switch or any electronic switch relevant to hot water system or you change diverted valve wrong. Boiler repair price £120+parts in your cause .Price for boiler installation labour £650 + any materials.Thing about safety first and after about mony.
