Boo its not the bed to myself but the duvet that is quite nice, and I have put on a few pounds because we have been out quite a lot so back to eating if I can be bothered to cook.
The first few days are always the worst as you get back into your stride. Mine used to be away a lot 5 months in the Falklands was the longest and later 3 months at a time in the UAE. At least you have email these days we only had 'blueys' as it was the early 80's although we moved on faxes in later years. The trouble with long absences is you do get used to it and although of course you miss them terribly it is a bit of a nuisance having to share the bed and remote again when they come home on leave.
