Is there something you are anxious about? I only ask because I used to be the same - lost my job because of it.
try going to bed at the same time every night and keeping busy until its time to settle... set an alarm for the same time every morning and get up as soon as it goes off..every day for at least 3 weeks yuo need to reestablish a proper pattern. No TV radios phones or music players in your room bed room is for sleeping only. If at first you can't sleep get up and sit in another room read a dull book or do simple puzzles until you feel drowsy then try going back to bed...
People say that about bedrooms RW - no TV, radio etc - basically a bedrom shuld be quiet and dark for restful sleep. That being the case, how can we justify mobiles above a babys' cot?
no idea...unless its because a rhythmic sound and pattern can lull them to sleep I would think 30 repetitions of twinkle twinkle would send me into a coma
The mobiles are to keep them entertained when they wake up, smart....

I sleep like tinkerbell, often drop off for a couple of hours in the evening then wake up and start again. It keeps me going.
Mobiles only continue for a relatively short period boxtops... what you suggest is that baby wakes up, THEN parent winds the mechanism...
