How soon can I have sex??

If I had thrush and used a Canestan Pessary last night. Would it be ok to have sex tonight?? Anyone know how to avoid it coming back? Thanks

I wouldn't if I were you, I suffer alot and when you use the pessary, the next day the tablet slowly dissolves and comes out during the day, it isn't very nice, I would wait a couple days before having sex again, normal things to avoid it in the future is don't use prefumed soaps bodywashes down there and wear cotton knickers, but none of this works for me anyway, also you need your partner to use canestan cream to clear him up as you can just keep passing it onto each other.

I thoroughly recommend the thrush capsule as the pessary is quite unpleasant. Much nicer just to swallow a pill! If you buy a generic version it's cheaper than the v.expensive branded ones. I have just used the �7 Tesco own-brand one and the thrush cleared up in a couple of days.

If it's just a one off case of thrush, then take molloys excellent advice ... If you suffer a lot, like I used to, you may be interested to know that there is a substance called 'threelac' which contains a plethora of yeast hungry bacteria that destroys the overgrowth. I found it on ebay (cheaper) for about �30. It's a large tub, so value for money! I have not had an attack for 18months and I used to have them about once, if not twice a month!!
