I have followed instructions regarding set-up of using my PC to send and receive faxes and all seems ok but alas it doesn't work. I can compose the letter etc----run the preview---but when I send I just get the message " Unable to send / No dial Tone or line busy" I have tried many times and to different numbers with the same result. From experience, I know there are many of you out there with the know-how I am lacking. It is possible that I am unable to send via Broadband I suppose...if this is the case do I just connect from a phone jack on the rear of PC (if there is one) to the same phone point as the broadband, via a coupler...Thanks in advance for your help Telboy

You need to be connected via dial up through your data/fax modem.

DO NOT plug it in to your broadback connection - plug it in to the proper phone socket.

Thanks Ethel...Your a Star....Works fine now...My only question now is..........Is this a free service or will cost the same as having an ordinary fax machine?

I don't know! Sorry. Not having a landline for years I have no idea.
It will cost the same as if you plugged in a fax machine - in fact to all intents, you have just converted you computer into a fax machine.
