NORTON ERROR MESSAGE

For the last two days I keep getting urgent "Error Found, 3048,3".....and have to get rid of everything and restart the computer. It's then OK for a period. Any ideas what is causing it, and can I get rid? I,m on Firefox and XP if it's any help. John

Others have been having the same problem. Looks like you'll have to do an Uninstall followed by a Reinstall:

Best thing to do would be to uninstall the Norton product completely (though you almost certainly won't be able to, at least, not completely) and then install Microsoft Security Essentials.
