reading Anna Smith,To tell the truth,follow up to 'The dead wont sleep'i cant put it down,the author is my sons girlfriends auntie,if your scottish you will love it even more,anyone read her books???

No, but I might do now.
No I hadn't heard of her - I must lead a sheltered life - what sort of books does she write? The only Scottish author I read regularly is Quintin Jardine he lives a few miles away and the books are full of local references. I'd be interested in another Scottish writer though

these are definately cant put down books,mostly in the glasgow area,fiction/crime books
another brilliant scottish author is robert douglas(he wrote 4 books)i never laughed so much,its all in the 50/60's era,brought back a lot of memories

i remember that wendilla,i have read his 4 books,i never laughed so much,the book i am reading just now'to tell the truth' is about child trafficking abroad,puts me in mind of the madeleine mc cann case,i hope nothing like this book has happened to her

Is To tell the truth newly out as I can't find it at my library. I have found it on Amazon.
Nungate, I just love Quintin Jardine. Have been to see him at author visits in Dundee a couple of times and he is my mental image of "Bob Skinner". Weird. Also like Ian Rankin and Stuart McBride (not all though). Will look out for the authors mentioned here. Reading Camilla Lackberg books at the moment, she's a Swedish writer and I'm loving her books. Best read in order, the first being The Ice Princess. Happy reading

No but I did see one in the charity shop last week can't remember which one, so I might go back see if it's still there.
