Oh Dear - Feathers
6 Answers
Think I made a bit of a mistake this morning. Always think the bigger birds get all the food and the little ones, robins etc. miss out. So.... decided to thrown some food under the hedge. Just home and there's a pile of feathers beside the hedge. My good deed appears to have turned into a tragedy for some poor bird.

I recently bought a wild bird feeder for £40 which allows robins and sparrows to enter, but keeps out pigeons, squirrels and cats.
Unfortunately, all the sparrows have disappeared and the two robins who used to visit hardly ever show up nowadays You are welcome to have this free of charge if you will pay the postage.
It is a green rustproof wire frame which folds flat and is lightweight and readily portable.
When erected it is about the size of a small dog kennel

I had a cockateil cage which i have opened up an hung in a tree. I works really well. My kitty sits in the tree watching but cant get into the cage and the birda are quite happy. He has caught some doves that feed on the ground but unfortunately they are really stupid and walk right up to where he hides. The barbet is screaming a warning but they dont listen :(
