I put a new software on my desktop,to update new drivers about three weeks ago,and was updating my mouse driver when the Dell Desktop computer went off.
I have had some help on theanswerbank from a few nice people, and eventually with help from one of my neighbours who knows a bit about computers, got me back to the signing on screen, the only problem now is the mouse will not work at all.
We have been in touch with Dell and they told us to take the mouse off the computer and then put it back on again, but still the mouse will not work.
Has anybody on theanswerbank any ideas of what to do,Dell has said they need to go to the hard drive and work it out from there and that will cost me £69,I have just given them £29 to check my hard drive and £31-80 for two backup discs.
Oh and installing the driver undate software was a waste of time.... dell provide all the latest drivers on their site for free, just check for updates every few months, and if there is any download them and install them...
Although.... if it's not broke don't fix it often applies for drivers IMO.
No nothing is happening ChuckFickens, the pointer for the mouse has not moved I think I have done something wrong to the mouse when I stupidly put Drive Max.
I wish I could turn the clock back.
