thanks chatty!
i will definitely nip into superdrug and take a look at that, cheers!
Smashbox is considered one of the very best, it's not cheap though.
Question Author
thanks daffy!
a bit dearer that one, but i'll def concider it if it's good.
infact i was in boots today and got a £5 off no7 voucher, so i could put it towards it..?

you apply it after you've moisturised, don't you?
mac is good.
Question Author
where sells smashbox, prudie?
i don't really want to spend toooo much on one, if i can help
Question Author
yes, i've seem mac used alot on various youtube beauty tutorials, rozia.
we haven't got anywhere round here that sells mac, i don't think so, anyway.
Amazon sell it but it's over £20. Another I've tried which is good is L'Oreal Studio Secrets, that's about £11 ish - more pink and velvety. The smashbox is like a very fine serum feel.
I usually moisturise, apply primer, wait 5-10 minutes then apply the rest of my make up. You should be able to use your voucher towards the cost.
Question Author
righto, prudie, ta for that, i will have a look
Question Author
can you see an improved difference when you're wearing the primer, daffy?
Definitely, my skin tone seems more even and bright and my pores look less obvious.
Question Author
thanks! i will be purchasing very very soon, then! :o)
It sounds like you've already decided but just to put my opinion forward; when I looked into buying a primer the Gosh Velvet Touch one came highly recommended so I got that one and I'm not very impressed; doesn't do much other than give me a bit extra moisturising. Am thinking of getting something different and hardly ever do that with make up!
Question Author
i went to boots yesterday to see if i could get a couple of primer testers.

a young assistant tried to help me, flitting between the makeup counters, checking in their under counter drawers for some.
unfortunately she wasnt able to find any for me, so i thanked her anyway and made my way to the desk to pay for my other things,
next thing she comes up to me, saying she'd managed to find this one for me, if i'd like to take it,
'ooh lovely' i said, as i put it in my bag,
i had a look at it when i got home, it was a 'benefit' one, a decent sized tester too, i thought!
checked online later, and the 'tester' is infact 'full size' - 22mls! costing £23! lol... oooops!

i've tried it, and it does leave me skin feeling very silky velvelty smooth, but im not sure my make up looks any better with it, though..?
i will try it again tomorrow,

but what a bargain eh?! lol
Wow lucky you! Is it the 'That Gal' one by benefit? That was another one I looked at buying but plumped for the Gosh one
I really want one that is mattifying without drying out my face, redness reducing and evening skin tone if such a thing exists!
