Got heartily sick of the final with Jeremy Paxman giving his preferred team (Manchester) longer to answer their questions. What an irritating captain they had, he really got on my nerves with his affected manner!

I thought the captain of the Manchester team was a brilliant team leader and encouraged his team to guess an answer even if they weren't sure and he didn't know. I watched the team throughout the series and I thought he was the one really helped win it as the team very often guessed the right answer. The Pembroke College team leader just sat there and let the guy with Tourettes answer the questions, there was no teamwork at all.

quizzy, you'd get on well with Mr Frog. Last night he was shouting at the television every time the Manc captain spoke. I couldn't see it myself, but he found him profoundly irritating.

I agree with carolegif .That young lad on the Pembroke team was very good .
His knowledge of composers was brilliant .Without him Pembroke would never had caught up as much as they did .
It was a good final .I thought Tristan Burke played a blinder.
Camilla was the icing on the cake .She was very nice to them all.

it's funny you should say that, because I thought that he speeded up towards the end, when it was possible for Pembroke to catch up, so that he could get more questions in for them! I didn't feel he preferred Manchester at all. It's strange how we get different reactions to the same programme, isn't it.

And talking of Camilla, has any one else ever thought that if she had dark hair she would be a dead ringer for Pam Ayres when she smiles? (Sorry, quizzy, that's a bit off-topic, I know.)

Brilliant final. So proud when I get an answer right (not often). Sometimes can't even understand the question but still find the programme riveting.

i thought it a good final, and all played well, the right side won though. Camilla always reminds me of the woman in eggheads, aren't they related somehow?

I really wanted a UCL V Manchester final, I think it would have made a much better final. I thought both of their team captains were the best over the series. Pembroke's captin was awful.

Many don't like her but I think she's a very nice down to earth person .
Judith Keppel is something to do with Alice Keppel Em ..who was a mistress of Edward V11.I don't know the exact lineage .

Clearly it was just me and Mr Frog who were irritated by old Tristan - got heartily fed up with Jeremy more. How I miss Bamber, he never annoyed me!
