cant get into email page

here goes --I cant open my email page at all.
I can open everything else aprt from that.=a/b--google--f/book--skype etc.
They are all at the top of the screen and I just click on and open everything.
When I click on for email page, top of screen where it should say emails, it says --multi - hop cycle detect.
When i press that, I get a message saying --
Your request is prohibited because it would cause a cycle !!!

Any idea what this means and what has happened to my google chrome.
I dread asking this as I'm sure I wont be able to rectify this.
My screen looks normal untill I get to click on emails . any ideas please?

The next message has just said "Connection Timed out"
What the hell does that mean.?
have had to go out and just come back to laptop.
Will have to use upstairs p.c. to send or recieve any emails now..
