lawnmowers with stripe facility

a long, long time ago i bought a flymo, petrol, powerdrive, 4 wheel lawnmower that also had a stripe facility. It has finally come to the end of it's very useful life.
I've tried unsuccessfully to buy another with the same capabilities. It seems impossible to find one with both a stripe facility and 4 wheels.
I've quite a spaced out garden and have to transport the mower over some gravelly terrain so 4 wheels is definitely preferable. does anyone know of such a lawnmower and where i can buy it please?

I think you just need a mower with a roller on the back to create the stripes.

thankyou ratter1 5. the trouble is i also need the mower to have 4 wheels like my old flymo had. it also had a roller

Try searching for Hayter PLC, I used to import mower parts from the USA for them, I remember their letterhead used to blow a trumpet saying they were 'the makers of the finest mowers'.

I believe they are based in Bishops Stortford, but it is knocking on 20 years ago that I dealt with them.

yes spikeybush, i've tried hayter., also flymo ( who no longer appear to have wheels and a roller), honda, etc.,etc. it seems impossible. i don't know why flymo stopped making that particular model., it was maybe too good.!

I think you will struggle... however if you write to flymo thay may be able to recommend someone who can fully recondition it for you

This is mine. Comes with a roller which can be fitted or removed for stripes or not. I like best the 'mulching' option, which means you don't have to collect the cuttigs - it chops them up and sprays them back on the lawn. Check the net for best price...

I have a Hayter Harrier for stripes.
On the Hayter site there is a search, and check box for stripe. There are loads that do it!

Ooops. I've linked to the Toro model 21081 - this has a fixed height cut. The model 21091 is the one I have, comes with a variable height cut.
