This morning I came across a very elderly Australian tourist who couldn't make head or tail of a car park pay and display machine. I helped her out and ended up giving her 20p as she didnt have the right change. She then asked for directions to a hotel and as I was going that way, I gave her a lift. She was very grateful and as she got out of the car she said "I want you to have this." She then pressed a 1p coin into my hand.
I guess I'll get my reward in the next life lol

Very generous lady ( the aussie that is ). lol
Well done Mrs O. Did the lady say you could keep the change!
Be careful how you spend it! :))
Aww that's cute haha! It's maybe a lucky penny... I'd hold onto it :-)
That was a penny for your (good) thoughts. :)

Is it upside down ( Austrailian ). ?

lol no!
I hope she couldn't understand our money otherwise it would put her in the cheapskate class.
What a scream Mrs O - ah bless her I bet she didn't know about our currency and perhaps thought it was worth more ....... you can dine out on that story for years, its brilliant! :)
LOL, lovely story. That's definitely got to be a 'good luck' penny now.
