I've just been looking for a gift for a child, and found it on Amazon - often my first port of call - for £44.95. However, before buying I thought I'd check out other web sites to see if there was anything similar available - and have ended up buying my original choice direct from the manufacturers for £24.99.
Always I also try never to buy anything online without finding a discount code also - even if it's just free shipping. Times are tight, you have to be savvy with the money you have.
Yeah I usually ferret out the best deal I cna find, wouldn't dream of just walking into a shop and buying something without checking the price elswhere either in real life or online.
Yes, I saw an advert for a Vax hard floor cleaner on the tv a couple of weeks ago and it was advertised for £99.99. I searched for it on Amazon and found it for £79.99. Definitely worth shopping around.
I was just amazed that Amazon was so much more expensive. I always automatically assume it's the best value. Big mistake! Boots website offers this toy for £25 as opposed to Amazon's 44.95, so I didn't find the only better offer around. I'll know in future. ;o)
There was a report on TV recently that we're turning into a nation of 'showroom shoppers'. We go and look at items in shops and showrooms that have them on display, then having made our minds up, we go home and search the internet for the lowest price. Makes sense to me.
