I am going to buy a new printer for my computer. As you all probably know, I am completely hopeless with technology so don't know what these descriptions describe. What does all-in-one or three-in-one mean? Will it do more than print? And if so what will it do? I am not anticipating spending too much on it but would like to know what I am buying. Thanks a lot everyone.
Good gracious chuck, that's amazing. All the one I have now does is print and not very well at that, which is why I am going to get a new one. Thanks for your swift answer.
With regard to rocky46's remarks about ink prices: I have an Epson Stylus Photo RX640 all-in-one printer, and I am very pleased with it. But - a set of 6 ink cartridges (the official ones) cost me £74.99 at PC World recently. So do bear in mind the cost of cartridges, and you might avoid an unpleasant surprise!
Thanks, rocky and bookbinder, I shall certainly bear that in mind. My son-in-law will be taking me out soon to buy and I now feel more confident that I shall know what to look for.
