Of course it was the nice side of football AOG, it happened at his own ground amongst his own fans. So if something bad occurs during a game do you believe that it is football's fault or just the british public behaving poorly? Football fans already get a lot of unjustified stick as it is so they should be applauded when they behave with dignity. well done bolton fans.
If only footballers could conduct themsleves with the same honesty, dedication and professionalism whilst on the pitch as that shown by those who saved his life that night.
Once again I am falsely quoted, I did not say "it wasn't the nice side of football"
But what I did say was "Not particularly the nice side of football, but the normal behaviour of the non-racist British public."
I was simply suggesting that seeing that football crowds mainly contain members of the British public, is it not also fair that they take some of the credit?
But by saying that, some of the credit should not be taken away from the fans at this match also.
I do see where your coming from AOG. So your criticism of football fans on the 28th of april 'Why is this?' was actually aimed at the british public. (incidentally, sheffield utd fans didn't do what they were accused of.)
