fridge freezer problems, incredible!
29 Answers
we have had our fridge freezer almost a year. the back of the fridge freezes up really quickly and has grown so much now that it is almost covering the light. i rang up comet as we are still covered with them until dec. the woman said she would speak to a technician in the background. she came back and said that if we read the booklet, which we cant find, that we have to defrost it every two to three weeks, surely that cant be right! the technician also said that this happens with this particular model and its due to when opening the door, hot air hits the back of the fridge, nb the fridge is the top half just in case this matters! surely this cant be right either, you have to open a fridge door after all and hot air is going to get in. im flabbergasted. we pay for an extra policy to cover it which wont kick in until december. do you think i should wait now? ive never heard anything like it, have you?

Just found this thread after googling the fast freeze button for fridge freezer model.. i too have this fridge freezer and ive had it about 4 years.. my freezer frosts up soo quick its a joke i have to defrost it about every 3 weeks or else its completely covered in ice.. now i kno there is a fast freeze button but its soo confusing as to if this switch is on or not.. i have the manual and its still confusing.. i have it pressed down on the 0 so this is flat.. and the l is sticking up.. does this mean its switched off? or should i have it pressed down on i so that the 0 is stickin up in the air???

I to have been looking into this problem as to which way the fast freeze button is on/off. The manual says to set the fast freeze on press the switch I, ie so the I symbol is flush with its mounting and the O symbol is proud. To switch off press the O symbol, then that will be flush with the mounting and the FF will be off. Hope this helps someone.
