hello, my boyfriends just been recalled back to prison with the charge of section 18- wounding and common assault, he never hit anybody but chucked a glass (not intentally at anybody just in frustation as some lad had just punched him) and its hit someone. he has a previous convitation of ABH when he was younger. and was in prison last time for going into somebodys house without permission and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.
Dear Mic1237,

Please excuse some of the posts left by those who deem themselves to be above you and probably, above the law. A couple of them sound like "pigs!" I have a close friend facing the same charge. He is over 30, does not drink, does not do drugs, is responsible, protective and a law abiding citizen. He has no previous and has been "fitted up." It stinks. He is just as worried as you, but I agree with DLawson's post. There really are some nasty pillocks on here. Just ignore them.

Dear Mic1237

Ignore Tetjam and Raggy Roman. They are not on here to help you, merely make a mockery of you as they are obviously so perfect themselves. Could it be that they have been victims of Section 18 behaviour themselves? As sure as hell, if they carry on through life with these attitudes, they certainly will be! I agree with DLawson. Follow DLawson's advice.
i think some of the answers on this page are disgusting. people are very worried about what they face after conviction and giving answers such as 'touch your toes in the shower' are absolutely disgusting. the person giving these sorts of answers should consider that most of these offences are caused in the heat of the moment and should pray they never find themselves in this situation. remember never say never
i think some of the answers given on this web page are absolutely disgusting and unhelpful. some of these people should look at themselves and remember the saying. 'there but for the grace of god go I'. they may find themselves in similar circumstances one day and i hope they get the same answers they are dishing out to others
I'm not saying that what you did was right by no means, but section 18 for doing that sounds a little harsh!!!! Definantly GBH, but section 18!!!!!! I'd seriously think of getting a new solicitor/barrister if they're not fighting for the charge to be lowered!!! I mean it sounds strange that you're bail for Section 18, usually it's straight on remand. Also depends on what previous you have???? Good luck, and remember pal, if you did that with one punch, I suggest you take up boxing, and start earning some money instead of facing court charges.
