Does anyone know if there is a medical definition for someone who is unwell all the time just to get attention?

Hyperchondriac - or it might be hypo..not sure on that one though I bet someone will tell us- a person who feigns illness or injury for attention.

There's also Munchausens By Proxy where people actually make others ill - there kids or people they are close to so they can get the attention (of doctors or whoever) by being connected to the person they've made sick!

hypochondriacs feel sick most of the time from imaginary diseases. I'm not sure if it is to get attention but usually hypochondriacs don't know they are labelled so by doctors.

The definition is "hypochondriac" (not hyper.... which means the opposite). There are loads of websites with good info.
