smelly carpet shampooer
I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

Actually, I got a cold on our cruise to Istanbul and I've only just stopped coughing two months later. I've just been for a chest X-ray to make sure there's no problem lurking (I don't think so, it was a tickly cough, not a chesty one). And tomorrow the electrician is coming to sort out the lights and the next day the osteopath is coming to sort out my pretzel spine. So I should be in good nick by the weekend.

I have a tickly cough too jno. I have a feeling that our colds might just be the result of St Petersburg Sardine Can (Airport), although you may be right about the River Boat. My right foot swelled up badly at the beginning of the cruise and really hurt so I was a bit incapacitated, but I soldiered on regardless - there were people far more disabled than I was on the cruise - Getting on coaches was the worse thing. I had to be pushed and pulled!!
Average age on cruise was probably about 65!! We were the only English - the rest were German, Danish, South African (Africanas speaking), Japanese and Australian!! Good fun though!!!

Good day everyone, am back in very hot and sunny Ibiza. Have spent hours washing and cleaning, the place was an absolute disgrace, I nearly cried!! Mostly done now. There is a 5ft high pile of ironing, Mr N doesn't do ironing and if he hung the clothes up straight away instead of folding them in a corner they wouldn't need ironing. Well it can wait another day. I am shattered. Have tocook a dinner tonight, well am out of practice!! Went to bottom of garden to check the post and inadvertently trod in dog poo and trailed it through the house, and I cleaned the carpet and mopped everywhere and we can still smell it, so will have to crouch on ground and sniff until I find it!!
