smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

Don't hold your breath neti, I expect shaney's put them in an envelope with a 2d stamp on it.
<<< DAMN, DAMN DAMN, >>> could have done with 10 bob!

Hija seems to have broken up with Javi who is apparently leaving on the 20th, but he is hoping she will beg him to stay, not a lots of chance!
Here you are Neti .

and I want the change :)

I'm orf to bed .It turned into a real slosh down afternoon here and had to do a dash to get my washing in .Bloomin' weather .Pain in the whatnot .

Hospital for us at Urology tomorrow pm .I got the appts muddled up .I thought we had them both for last week .They keep cancelling them and reassigning them .You don't know where you are .Not that I particularly want to go up there as feel a bit under par for a few days now .I'm full of catarrh and have an awful cough and now the glands hurt in my neck .
So the only thing for it is bed with lemon and honey and a good slug of whisky .
Oight Oight all.

hello all, not a great day, piddled down all day, now blowing a hooley, my new last year petrol lawn mower has died now the guarantee has run out and if I can get it to the repair shop, as they don't collect, they will look at it and might be able to get it working for at least half the price of a new one, maybe more....
I did some research online and NO ONE ANYWHERE now sells this mower or keeps spares which is not a good sign. Anyway have yet again bitten the bullet and started looking for a new mower.
Anyway anyway to cheer ourselves up sis and I went out to lunch...crab sarnies and chocolate cake.
Oigh oight all
<sings badly> The sun'll come out tomorrow.......
Ooch! stop that singing woofy! I am still in bed!!

Blowing a hooley here also, just like winter back home, said to sis this morning, let's get the xmas tree out!

B-i-l had a bad day yesterday, slept mostly, hardly ate and then vomited it all back. I guess it was being so long at the hospital which wore him out. Hope he's better today.

Good luck at the hospital shaney.

Hope the rest of you are in fine fettle. I have put on weight here, as I am eating all manner of rubbish that I can't get back home, and no walks and no zumba!! I shall waddle off the plane. Talk about excess baggage! no better not!!
Not a hope woofy ♫...it's rainin' again....♫

Morning folks
Hope it goes well today shaney and that you feel better. This silly weather's getting everyone down and causing all kinds of ailments. I spent most of yesterday afternoon nodding off.

Woofy I'll ask my ex gardener which mower he'd recommend, I haven't had a chat with him for ages.

Sorry about your daughter's break up neti, she'll be ok.
orrible weathe here, what's new. Our Skybox seems about to collapse - it freezes every quarter hour or so when we watch recorded programmes and we have to switch it off at the wall for a while till it regains its equilibrium. This is the third time in 15 months, which is really annoying, and each time it happens we lose everything we've recorded. Are we just unlucky or does this happen to other people?

Anyway I am now catching up on Lucy W on iplayer while she lasts, as I suspect I am going to lose the recordings on the hard drive.
jno, is that Sky HD? I have heard this happens to others too, and was the main reason we have stuck to the old system. I was surprised to find that we could not get a sky signal here when it rained even though this is the case in Ibiza, so I do not feel so 3rd countryish now.

Me thinks I had better rise and shine!
no, I don't think we've got HD, neti. I have no reason to look at every pimple on an actor's face as I can do that at home already.
Hello all
It's grim here .Lashing down and blowing a gale .I'm spared the hospital today My brother is going to take Mr S and bring him back .I really felt like staying in bed this morning but have pulled myself together ..lol.

That Lucy Worsely series was good Jno .I don't know about Sky ,we've got the basic Virgin .Sometimes you can choose to have HD on catch up .We invested in an all singing all dancing DVD player/recorder which is pretty good machine as we couldn't record and watch catch up at the same time .It all seems very complicated to me and I leave it to Mr.S .to sort out .
Of course the football starts this weekend and will be recorded ,replayed and discussed ad infinitum .I may emigrate :)

Hope you are all Ok despite this abysmal weather .See you later .
I'm pleased you were spared shaney, the weather's totally crip here...keep warm.
I don't understand Sky either, Shaney, it was a legacy from jno jnr when he moved out. All we do is replace imploded Sky boxes every few months.
Still very windy here. Have sold my iphone as am fed up with trying to set it up (after 6 months!!) Mr N will not be pleased I suspect! so have been shopping and more shopping!1
I think I might self combust.... it'll save on the heating I s'pose. Apparently we're in the midst of a euro monsoon so in that case I'd like some euromillions to compensate...I wasn't going to bother seeing as I've as much chance of winning as flying to the moon but I'm off to buy a ticket toot sweet.
well, good luck, and don't forget the old friends who knew you when you were poor.

I am eating Italian today. The Tuscan sun-ripened tomato and basil peanuts were rather dry but I am enjoying the pesto-flavoured crisps (they're Burts, but I can't find them on the website, they must be new).
A lifetime's supply of microwave slippers will be yours jno...

Burts handcooked crisps??!....surely not handcooked by....??? ;o)

oh dear, all sold out...seems they were new last summer jno. They must have sneaked them in while you were orf somewhere.
I'm having terribly common sausage rolls ( courtesy of Greggs at Iceland) cold fried spuds and beanz :)
Gawd am I sick to the back teeth with this weather .We've got the heating on.
Mr S has to have a flow test ..again .He's slightly brassed off !
ah, that must be them, thank you Robinia. That must be how you can tell when the English summer is here, the pesto crisps are in the shops.
Robi if you win the euromillions I think there are others (who do not get Royal hampers) who need your charity first!! <<<< ahem>>>>

Shaney, good news, sis was browsing books in a charity shop, I can't be bothered, and she found Nella Last's Peace, am so delighted, and all for 99p.

Weather still windy but sunny now so we have electric fan whirring away in sun lounge as too damn hot yet again!!!
yes neti, you're high on my list, your primark voucher will be sent by express pigeon.

shaney I looked in our Iceland but they haven't got the greggs sausage rolls..mind you at school holiday time it's taken over by 101 different pizzas. Sorry about mr s needing more tests, he must be fed up with it all.
It's my grandson's birthday tomorrow and it was so hot at the time...hard to believe I'm huddled next to a radiator, grrrrr
