Hi all

Back in the old steam-driven days did anyone have a Compuserve account?

My father died 10 years ago, and my mother died just a few weeks ago.

While clearing out the house of their stuff before the house sale I found a Compuserve package in my fathers stuff. I THINK he had Compuserve, but cant be certain (he was very IN to computers in the early days of home computers).

Funnily enough in the list of terms and conditions it mentioned email and said you could send something like 30 emails a month for "free" (up to a certain number of characters), then you had to pay for EACH email you sent after that.

I think I kept the package and bought it back to my house and have it somewhere.

As a matter of interest, why do you ask?

For a little while there was an American chap who used to post in one of the Technology forums. He seemed to be a professional MS Access programmer. I was wondering if anyone remembered his name.
I had a compuserve account on a BBC micro in the mid 80's when it was CIS (the days before the WWW as we know it now, it was little more than a text based bulletin board service)
