gness has given half of her obelisk to her next door neighbour, tenrec.
Hi Dave. What to do with eighty patio slabs? Build an obelisk. Rethink of design made it very high so had to find someone who wanted about thirty old slabs.
That's not an obelisk - it's a whacking great pyramid :)
Mmm. Perhaps that`s a better word Dave. Have just arranged to send a chair and ten sacks of pebbles to Devon and the sun has come out here. A good day I think.
I had loads in my last garden broke them up and built 'dry stone' walls with them once colonised with mosses etc they looked pretty smart and it created some good height variation. Also popular with the small beasties who luked in the gaps
Hi Rowan. Have saved some for breaking and wall building. A next year project. The obelisk/pyramid is for a creeping plant and beastie home.
i desparately need some slabs for a patio. can i swap them for some rocks?
gnes..put your slabs on freecycle..someone will take them away !!
Oh I would love to swap some for rocks LadyJ. My garden is rockless, must change that.
Murry. Have palmed off some but have a desire to smash and build with the rest. So theraputic.
gness, have small quarry as part of garden. rocks abound everywhere.anything planted more than 3/4 deep requires major excavation. swap sounds good to me.
