Tickets for Edinburgh Book Festival went on sale at 8.30 this morning so was up bright and early. Was 24th in queue to get a basket - then there was a glitch on the site. Now number 661 in the queue grrr, be here all bl00dy day.

So you've got to wait by your computer all day for your turn? That's not good. It wouldn't be so bad if you'd kept your place in the queue without hundreds jumping in front of you. Hope the wait goes quickly.

Reminds me of trying to buy Glastonbury tickets online last year. Never, ever again

I hope you were finally successful. This afternoon I went along to the Roxburghe Hotel and there were only 4 people ahead of me in the queue. I managed to get all the tickets I wanted except for one event which was sold out.
