My daughter had her fallopian tubes remove 2 weeks ago, since then she's been very light headed and dizzy. She's been to the doc who checked her b/p and did a blood test for aneamia (sp) but said he didn't think it was the cause. Any ideas peeps?
"Fallopian tubes removed".....?.....one OR both tubes? Incision..laparoscopy( minimal invasive surgery) laparotomy ( largish abdominal incision) or a combination of the two?
Local or general anaesthesia?
For what reason was the procedure performed?
How old is she?
Any other underlying general medical condition?
Depending upon the answers to the above and depending upon type of anaesthesia and providing the blood tests come back normal, then this isno big deal and a part of the recovery process.
I'd say she was still recovering from the op.
It takes time and the amount of time varies not only by the kind of surgery but also from person to person.
Two weeks after surgery I wouldn't be at all surprised to be a bit light headed and dizzy.
I'm sure she'll be OK soon .
Both tubes removed via laparoscopy (3 smallish incisions), general anaesthitic, she had a fairly big cyst on one and when then looked at the other it was wrapped round her ovary so took that out as well. She's 38 and has polycystic ovaries and endometriosis (sorry if the spellings are wrong Sqad) otherwise quite healthy. Blood test not back yet. Thank you all for your replies xx
