back home .. damp .. exhausted .. proud

what a morning.

got to town at 0070 , although torch not coming through till 0800, already packed.

mashalled my section of crowd till 0820 when they dispersed.
wailed till 0845 at staging post for 200 charity cyclists on 20.12km route - had to help stamp their cards.

went to where local sports clubs assembled on road at 0930 to out-walk their parade through town to local field where i then assisted in allsorts of ways while 'silly sports' events took place....cumulating in a 98 person custard pie fight.

helped pack up then walked home ...... non-stop rain every minute.

would not have missed it for the world

Well done to you excel. It sounds as though you had a really good day. Make sure you have a bath and keep warm You don't want to catch a chill.
