Satnav/mobile
14 Answers
I have recently been told that not only is it illegal to have a satnav (or mobile) stuck to the windscreen of a car, but to leave the circular mark left by the suction cup is also. Does anybody know if there is any truth in this, because as far as I'm aware all satnav's are supplied with this type mounting?

Also, whoever told you this probably meant either that it's not a good idea tp leave the circular mark because theives see it and know you have a satnav in the car or that if a mark was so large it obscured your view it was illegal (and stupid)

There is a police car outstde my house with 2 police officers in it and it has a sat nav on the windscreen.
I was also stopped a year ago by the police really for going a bit slow.
My car had a local number but I was not local.
I had a sat nav on the windscreen and the police officers did not tell me to take it off.
Oh sorry the police car has just gone.
