our former car was a T registration and found out it was going to cost near to £1k to repair when it was only worth £400 so decided to buy a new car. I approached the insurance company we were with to just change details and when I told them the registration number they argued with me that it was a manual transmission not automatic. I changed over to another company after being the previous firm for 30years and no claim bonus of 8 years and then I rang them to cancel the direct debit. A new woman checked with the underwriters and told she could alter the transmission to automatic and I asked her why could not the previous call handlers have done the same. They have lost our business and was assured heads will roll about this as our record was very good and I wonder why they think or thought I was a idiot and even refused to talk to my supplier of new car hiding under data protection - what can one say to it all??????

Couldn't agree more... what can one say to it all??????
(oh and heads won't roll, they were just saying that to get rid of you off the phone)
why did you change, just because you had an argument with the person who answered the phone? I'd have hung up and contacted them through their website.
heads will roll? lol they lost your business - what £500 a year? Well worth sacking someone for that ...
