I do not understand how this works. First you buy a kindle from Amazon?then what do you do? How do you pay for your books? Please can anyone help and advise? Many thanks

You buy and then download the books from Kindle too.

to be honest I dunno, i assume so. Im a tight northerner and I only ever get the free books, lol.

You can set up an account, similar to Paypal, and you an use a debit card (I only have free stuff on mine though).
Your Kindle is connected to your Amazon account. You then can order your books either through the Amazon website or directly from your kindle. Books are paid for with whatever method you usually pay for Amazon purchases with.

you can only buy them from amazon though, you should have bought a Kobo as it's an open platform and you can buy from anywhere
When you buy books you have them for ever. Even if you delete them from your Kindle thy will still be hld in your Amazon account. I just love my Kindle!
