Casualty was over the top tonight, supposed to be a hospital drama but now is more like a cop show. also dont agree with the subject, too much like a copycat of last years riots.
I thought so too bundleone, it was most insensitive especially so soon after the real riots where deaths occured and the court case this week, such bad timing. I could barely watch the programme, had to keep looking away as I hate violence, ridiculous to show that level of violence in such detail, I am sure it influences and encourages youths to do the same. The writers should be ashamed. I love Casualty but this was way off limits for me.
watched it after a bit too much smoke and found it as the op says.i usually look forward to the sat/sun doubles but i don't think this story would of happened had it not been for the events of last year.
Stories have always been ridiculous. Remember the hospital being burned down, and Charlie (I think) leading everyone to safety? And when Charlie 'went in' to riots on the estate to rescue someone. This and Holby City both seem to have a unusual number of relatives brought in for treatment. Im fed up with the story abut the nurse with the wayward niece. Thank goodness we now have to Olympics for something different to watch on a Saturday night.
I turned over just after the black woman started having a go at the looters in the shop - that was a blatant rip off of the woman in Hackney who did the same.
