For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Yet again, Roslyn251254 won the fastest finger first and claimed a PINT for herself. The round was also shared by tearinghair, evsajo, Christiana, deecee131 and Manxiemo for 2 points each.
A minute later, beejay1124, along with deecee131 and middlestump opted for FEATHER WEIGHT (for 2 points) but going for a boxing term just isn't cricket!
Still only in the second minute of play, HAWK MOTH earned bonus points for Aquagility, owllady and Strix
Just as in previous rounds this month, the final pairing lasted until just after noon when cupid04 chose STRING ALONG, thus depriving Mrs Ont-Ice of any bonus points.
Double-hitters this week were deecee131, Strix, middlestump and Elspeth but I am goung t award the 'hotshot' honour to the discoverer of that final link.

Putting all those onto the scoreboard makes the learderboard look like this:
Top on -7 is Ernie Els followed by
6 roslyn251254
6 tearinghair
5 kawakiri
5 owllady
5 seekeerz
4 beejay1124
4 Christiana
4 deecee131
4 Elspeth
4 evsajo
4 Manxiemo
3 Aquagility
3 bigjack
3 foxlee2
3 middlestump
3 regward
3 Strix
16 on 2 points
10 on 1 point
That is all rather close at the top with only one more round to play. Almost anybody could take the claret jug.
Oh dear, Ernie Els has already walked off with it, so just honour is at stake.
Who will it be?
Find out next weekend,
Same time,
Same place.

Apologies for the delay.
For the last half hour I have been getting the following message on both my desktop and my laptop:
------------------------------------------
The connection has timed out
The server at www.theanswerbank.co.uk is taking too long to respond.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Try Again
------------------------------------------
If others were able to get on then it must have been a problem with my ISP (Virgin) but I could still access other sites.
All seems well now but I still have to go and check for any last-minute entries.
Where are you Mirandasmum?

Pity I missed out on double points. The best man Cupid 04 beat me.
Pity you told us who won the Open as coverage doesn't start here until 3pm Ontario time and we were looking forward to an afternoon of high excitement which has now been denied us.
I used every method in the book to keep from looking at the leaderboard but might as well have kept track.
We're terribly disappointed. Not that Els won, but that our afternoon has gone kaput.
It will probably be the same timing when broadcasting the Olympics so please remember those of us who are not on GMT.
Thanks.
