sky plus

is it any good? how does it work? what exactly does it do? how much would it cost for an existing sky subscriber?

i have sky in the living room and would like to watch in the bedroom also. I bought a signal sender but it did'nt work

Would sky plus help?

Sky+ is sky box that has a hard drive in it so you can record programmes easily and also rewind live tv. costs �99 for existin customers i think. We have one and its excellent

im not sure how if you could have 2 sky boxes working at the same time

We also bought a signal sender, the first one we bought had a fuzzy picture so we took it back and got a more expensive one and this works perfectly (both from Argos)

i got sky plus about 4 months ago and would rather lose my right arm than lose my sky plus!! you really will wonder how on earth you managed without it, i havn't got a clue as to how it works ,it just does .it is so easy to program, you just highlight what you want to record in the tv guide ,(like you want to set a reminder when a program is about to start with ordinary sky) then press the r button,you can also record 2 channels at the same time, if the program is a series or a 2 parter just press the series link button and it will record it for you,so no more missing out because you forgot to set the video .you can have your existing sky box installed in the bedroom for �10.00 a month and you can watch all the channels you subscribe to in the bedroom (and watch different ones in the lounge)i paid about 250.00 for the box and fitting as you need another cable from your dish

I just got sky plus last friday and already I couldnt live without it.

As an existing customer I paid 49.00 but I also got multi room and have my old sky box in the bedroom. However, this costs an extra 10.00 per month but it does work out slightly cheaper as if an exisitng customer wants just sky plus its 199.00

Although sky plus is fantastic the contractor that fitted it was terrible. He drilled through my water pipe for my radiator the wire for upstairs it smack bang in the middle of thewall no where near me sky box.

He threw his rubbish in my bushes and hs also broke the brick when he drilled through upsatirs. The wire he put in for the telephone doesnt work and he left my boyfried to drill the hole for downstairs where he has gone through the pipe and didnt want to do any more harm. However the wire he left to go through the hole was about 10foot too short.

Needless to say I have been on to sky about this but I still wouldnt be without sky+.

I have recommended Sky + to nearly everyone I know, all the above answers tell you why, it just revolutionizes your tele viewing, I'm interested in how much it is for existing sky customers cos I might buy it for my dad + the inlaws for christmas. You won't be disappointed.
