no......an utter waste of money that we should never had bid for (just look at how it helped greece!) and constant tv re: olympics. it will get on my nerves. plus, we all know it's going to be a little bit Sugar.....and we will embarrass ourselves (as per usual).
Won't be watching it at all - not a sports fan, but understand the excitement of those who are looking forward to it. Going to Scotland anyway tomorrow for 10 lovely days - can't wait !
I`m quite looking forward to the cycling because it`s coming past here (almost). Unfortunately I`m working so I won`t be able to follow it but I will try to get down to see the pass before I go to work. Rumour has it that the cycling medals will be presented here but nobody seems to know for sure. Apart from that, I might watch the athletics and swimming but only if i`ve got nothing else to do.
Dump the soccer. I'm going to the Senegal v Uruguay and GB v UAE games, which I expect to enjoy, but still think it's out of place because the teams are so artificial with the age restrictions .We're not seeing the best international players.
Bring back poodle clipping. Dog grooming, together with other 'artistic' activities, used to be in the revived Olympics. Be worth it just to hear the commentators trying to deal with a competition for best lion or continental clip!
