We recommend purchasing the cross-activation kit as an optional extra to enable the wheel motors to be disconnectly singly from either side of the caravan should you wish to park it close to a wall. If you mention to Truma that you viewed their mover at the Caravan Show, you may get this kit free of charge - we did.
My husband gets the van out entirely on his own now without any help at all from me even though it has to be swivelled around and steered through a reasonably tight opening. It operates from a hand controller shaped in the mode of a caravan with four control buttons which operates the van forward, reverse, turn left and turn right, with the very slightest movement if necessary.
Also a piece of cake positioning the van when going onto a site. No effort at all is needed and I don't even go outside whilst he is getting the van out. Wishing your hubby good health and happy caravaning to you both.
