Oh, no. Another bite.

I have just finished a course of antibiotics for a bite on my leg which became infected and now I have another bite on my arm which appears to be going the same way. It's already at duck egg proportions.
Why do I react so badly to bites? Is there anything I can do to stop this over -reaction?

It was when the doctors and nurses kept gathering people to have a look at me like a freak show was when I realised I should take some commemorative pictures. I didn't take any before the op though, wish I had now. And poor you, I've had quite a few huge abcesses that have all required surgery but none on my face. The scar on my leg is perfectly round and I tell people who don't know that it's a bullet wound, it's more interesting that saying I got bitten by an invisible insect but I'm not sure I'd be happy about it being on my face.
Here you go, Icg. (please ignore the fat legs, they are clearly 'swollen')
