here in the uk pretzels are small hard things in the us they are large soft bread like things the size of your hand usually sold hot on street corners, why can't you buy them here?

in Bluewater shopping centre they have a Mr. Pretzel stall that sells the kind you are talking about, maybe a centre near you has one.

train stations seem to have them poppign up all over the place. probably not helpful tho
Since they are traditionally from Bavaria, Germany, you will probably find some bake up ones in your nearest 'Lidl' store.
They sell Pretzels in Pret a Manger - plain, sesame seed and poppy seed ones.
Victoria Station, there's a stall in there that does 'em...stodgy tasteless lumps of dough that they are...get a hot chocoloate to dunk it in too!
