Agreed, Johnny Cash is a legend and if you read the story behind him filming that video he was on deaths door when he recorded it, yet still made one of the best performances of his life (IMO)... Trent Reznor (who wrote the song) has said it's no longer his song, it's JC's song now.
June is actually in that video. I think it was just shortly after it that she passed away.
Let it Be by The Beatles always makes me blub. It doesn't hold any memories or anything. The songs just affects me somehow :-(
Thank You For The Music is another one. That was played at my teacher's funeral. She was a close friend of my mum as well and was like a second mum to me :-(
No songs make me cry these days. Hurt by Cash however is by far the saddest song ever for me. Actually thinking about it, the version of nessun dorma tby he three tenors with Pavarotti makes me feel really emotional, but happy emotions, I just love that version of the song so much. (Not that I know any others. Or indeed if what they're singing about is even cheerful... I just like it!)
Don't know who suggested it for the '90 world cup but it was perfect, not what you'd normally associate with football, but it turned out to be spot on.
Barbara Dickson - Caravan - always takes me back to my father's funeral. "Moving out into the sun... and I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going.."
This song reminds me of the first man who broke my heart. I was 17 and he was married. I didn't know that at the time, when I found out I finished with him. Should I give his name, why not. He was from Scotland and his name was Ian Cromer. this was in 1969.
Not so much now but when I was young it was Harry Secombe singing "We'll keep a welcome in the hillside". It reminded me of an uncle killed in a road accident.
Also Auld Lang Syne. We always saw the New Year in as a family and one year my dad was working away and couldn't make it. I blubbed my eyes out and hated it for years afterwards.

Why does it always rain on me [from when it featured a few years back in 'William and Mary'. ] Don't remember who sung it but it was very moving at the time.
