Fancy Dress - Movie character theme

we have our xmas work do this thursday. My collegue (female) has just 3 days to get an outfit, but cant think of any good things to go dressed as. Any ideas? Cheap and cheerful, a character and film most people will know.

I recently went to a FD party as Wednesday adams, black skirt, black jumper with a white blouse underneath - my only real expense was a long black wig (�5.99 - Smiffys) which I plaited a pair of stripey tights (Smiffys again) and a big plastic knife.

A bit too much face powder, put on mascara then rub your eyes and you are away - hope you enjoy the party!!

(incidently, I made the other half go as Pugsley too - it was a crack-up!)

Long black wig worn backwards, white nightgown and bingo - you're that scary girl from 'The Ring'. Helps if you walk very slowly, jerking your arms...and scaring people to death might add to the authenticity of the outfit.

Dunno about your mate though.
