What toys did you have the most fun with when you was a child. I've just seen a thread about space-hoppers which prompted me to ask this.
Can anyone remember what you called the hoop you put round your ankle and you skipped and jumped as fast as you could over a ball? We seemed to
have more fun with really cheap toys when you think of the prices of kids toys now!

Hi Cupid, yes it was unbelievable really with her history of child pleasing. I idolised her. Kept all the books until I was about 14 then gave them to local childrens hospital. Later daughter expressed an interest and I bought them all over again. Mde sure she kept mthem, now grandchildren are enjoying them all over again.

I had a spacehopper. I loved Lego and also loved reading my Ladybird fairytale books. My favourites were Rumplestiltskin, Rapunzel and Snow White and Rose Red.

My least favourite toy was clackers. I broke a bone in my hand with the damn thing

Used to love my Meccano set, also my Milbro catapult and Gat gun.

I liked Meccano as well. Also had toy guns, (cowboys and indians), home made bows and arrows, toy soldiers from Woolies.

A lot of the old jokes are the best as well. What do you call a hula hoop with a nail in it?
A navel destroyer.
