'World in Action' .......what is the name of.......

...the diagram of the man in the opening sequence (for those of us that can remember back that far!!) The man in the circle?? Can't think of another way to describe it, but i know there is a name given to it and a story behind it...something to do with creation of a perfectly symetrical man??? It's driving me mad, hope someone can help, sorry to be a bit vague with descriptions!
