Does anyone else get phone calls from ? india saying they have been asked to phone because there are viruses in my computer , how would they know anyway , I do have an anti- virus insitu , I just say goodbye to them and hang up.

These are scam calls, either to get control of your computer or to get your credit card details.

I have caller display on my phone, and simply don't answer any calls that come up 'international'

However I am sorely tempted by a suggestion I have seen here, to hold the phone up to the smoke detector and press 'Test'

Its a call to commit a crime, they take your bank details then rob you blind. We inform them there calls being tracked and they hang up

my language isnt very ladylike when I answer these calls, but I know I have to talk very slowly or they cant understand you !they can hardly speak english but have "names" like Frank & Jim !!!! ***.
