How much would it cost to completely re-wire a 3 bed house ?

I had my 3 bedroom semi rewired in May 2004,in total it cost �1,800. I live in the Midlands, you may pay more in the south. The work took 4 days and involved every room needing redoration, but the house did have original 40 year old circuits. The cost depends on how many new points you require. Light fittings in bathrooms and kitchens now have to enclosed in waterproof shades. Since Jan 2005 every circuit and fitting has to documented by law and this involves a huge amount of paper work, but at least the work is documented if you want to sell. Hope this helps. Judy
