To cut long story short, 9 of us were originally going to Nottingham to a concert, so we'd booked and paid for 3 triple rooms. We booked through booking.com and as such, the payment was non-refundable.
Anyway 3 people pulled out, so we had triple room paid for, that we didn't need/want and we couldn't get our money back.
Well, last night I got a phone call from the hotel, informing me that they'd double booked and that she was trying to find me another room in a nearby hotel. After explaing my situation, she agreed to cancel the booking and return my money in full - RESULT !!!!

I'm still buzzing - I can't believe my luck :)

Anyone else had any good luck recently ????

not often that things work out in customers favour so easily,have wild time.what concert ?

I would agree with you Mick, but when we originally booked, we couldn't all get into the same hotel 'cos the goose fair is on and it's really busy, so we'd managed to book 2 triple rooms in 1 hotel and 1 triple room in a hotel just around the corner.
The hotel that rang me, was the one where we only had 1 triple room anyway, so now we're left with 2 triple rooms - both in the same hotel .... I couldn't have written the script any better ........

They've been going since 1982, so this tour is known as 30 years of thunder. I've seen them twice at Nottingham (Rock City) before.
