As time marches on, I am finding Google less stable, regular messages of a "Shock Plug in has crashed"

I know that I have McAffee in my programmes and this can interfere with Chrome. How does one get it off as Programs 86X and Data as, in going for a delete I get a message a little way in saying that it won't shut down as a file is open.

System: Microsoft Windows 7 on an Asus.

Many thanks in advance....

Possibly, DT, it's rather like removing Norton's. You need their "removal tool".
It's linked on this page :o)

My thanks, builder - we'll see if that works as Google is slowing up very quickly....anything else that you are aware of to the cause? I gather Adobe can cause issues but would be loathed to lose that.
I'm no expert DT, but a little bit of "housekeeping" is always worth a try....... download and install the free version of Ccleaner (just Google it).
Its uninstaller is very good . Also its "startup" page can deal with unwanted processes running from boot-up. These can slow things up a lot.
Run the analysis and the registry checker. Both will probably show up a lot of potential issues.
